Avril Lavigne gets mixed reviews for ‘Goodbye Lullaby’

‘Goodbye Lullaby’ is the first work of Avril in four years. The Canadian singer has not hit the studios since she came out with her last album in 2007. The latest album has been receiving mixed ratings on the Internet.
It is always good to stay with the winning formula and that is exactly what Avril seems to be doing. Though the singer has been divorced from her husband Deryck Whibley for almost a year now, it did very little to stop her from collaborating with him on the album. Whibley was involved in almost half of the tracks on the album.
The 26-year-old singer however wrote four of the songs on the album herself. Avril was most interested in getting the tracks on top of the charts so she chose to work with more chart-friendly stars. The negative remarks that she has been getting on for the album has to do with the sometimes high pitch of some of the songs.
Whether the album would be a hit or a failure would be known in only a matter of time.
