‘Avengers’ to release in India before US
December 8th, 2011 - 7:46 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 8 (IANS) American superhero film “Avengers” will release in India April 27 next year, a week before its release in the US.
The Marvel Studios film, distributed and marketed by Walt Disney Pictures, features Robert Downey Jr, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner and Scarlett Johansson.
The film has a super hero team of Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. It revolves around the entry of an unexpected enemy who threatens global safety and security, and how the head of international peacekeeping agency needs a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster.
The “Avengers” trailer made its debut earlier this year and garnered a positive response.
In India, the marketing plan for the film will include a roll-out with UTV network and Disney network hosting “Avengers” trailer roadblock on the channel at 6.15 p.m. Sunday.
