Dec 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) South California based music band named Avenged Sevenfold suffered a blow as one of its core members, James Owen Sullivan passed away recently. He was barely 28 years old and this unexpected demise has come as a shock to the band and its fans. He was known for his skills as a drummer but his vocal skills were just as good. The fans of the band called him by the name Rev.

The band members are deeply shocked at the loss of the artist. He was involved with this group from the time it had started its journey. In 2006 the band bagged the Best New Artist award at the coveted MTV Video Music Awards. Before becoming a part of Avenged Sevenfold, James Owen Sullivan used to perform in Suburban Legends, a pop rock band, as a drummer.

The death of James Owen Sullivan is preceded by a number of celebrity deaths. Just a few days back the talented actress Brittany Murphy bid farewell to the world. Sometime ago, the world was shocked to learn about the demise of iconic pop star Michael Jackson.

The young drummer died while he was at home. Though the initial investigation has not indicated at any foul play behind the death the real cause will be revealed after thorough investigation. The Orange County Coroner has been given the task of investigating the matter.

The music band was set up way back in 1999. James Owen Sullivan played a pivotal role behind its success. Its fan base grew considerably over the years and the group got quite a few coveted awards in its graphic career. The band was planning to release a new album very recently.
