Avatar star Joel Moore files for divorce
November 18th, 2011 - 12:19 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattNew York, Nov 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Avatar star Joel Moore is seeking divorce from his estranged wife Kineret Karen Ben Yishay Moore. The couple has been married for less than three years but they have been separated since June this year.
TMZ reports that Joel has stated “irreconcilable differences” between him and his wife for the basis of filing for the divorce. The report said the divorce was filed at the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Wednesday.
Joel and Karen married in 2009 on New Year’s Day. The first sign of trouble in the couple’s marriage was when they announced in June that they have split. They have stayed apart since then and a source told TMZ that it was Joel who took the initiative to end the relationship.
The pair have no child together.
Joel played the role of xenoanthropology scientist Dr. Norm Spellman in James Cameron’s hit movie Avatar. He is also a star in the hit FOX series “Bones.” In the project, Joel plays Colin Fisher.
Joel was born on the 25t of September 1977. The American actor is also famous appearing in several national adverts in the United States.
There has been no official confirmation on the divorce.
