Avatar 2 to be shot underwater?
September 20th, 2010 - 12:51 pm ICT by Sampurn WireSeptember 20, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): James Cameron has recently recruited a particular team of Australian engineers in order to design and construct a particular submarine that would be capable of taking him to the lowest part of the Challenger Deep.
Now, the aforementioned Challenger Deep is the lowest segment of the Mariana Trench and also happens to be the deepest location on this planet. It is about 36,000 feet below the level of sea. The force at such a depth can crush more than 8 tones every square inch. This is way more than the capabilities of the most superior Russian military subs that can only manage 1,600 pounds every square inch.
Now, James is contemplating shooting the sequel of his Award winning Avatar right here. It does sound eccentric, but in Hollywood, the meaning of that word has been redefined. James has a quarter billion dollar budget for the filming material for the film and it would be in 3D. Other details regarding the movie haven’t been revealed. It is said that Mr. Cameron devices to discover Pandora’s oceanic environments in the sequel.
He, however, has had previous experience of shooting underwater with Aliens of the Deep in the year 2005. He did travel to the floor of Challenger Deep for this purpose. We wish him all the luck with his “underwater’ project.
