Aussie actor Paul Leyden brands John Cusack a ‘prima donna’

April 23rd, 2008 - 6:44 pm ICT by admin -

Melbourne, Apr 23 (ANI): Actor Paul Leyden has criticized actor John Cusack for his antics and unpunctuality, branding him a “prima donna” on the sets of his upcoming horror flick.

In an interview on a radio, Leyden insisted that the High Fidelity star was a “prima donna” on the Montreal set of his upcoming horror film The Factory, which the Aussie actor penned and in which Cusack starred.

He also said that Cussacks diva antics and lateness has cost the production a lot of money.

“John Cusack was one of my favourite actors until I met him,” the Daily Telegraph quoted Leyden as saying.

“I have to say one thing - and this is my favourite line when people ask me what I think of John Cusack - he plays nice guys on film. So, read between the lines

“He cost us a lot of money and he was getting his biggest pay day on this film.

“He was getting paid a lot of cash and he would just be two hours late to set, wouldn’t apologise for keeping everyone waiting in the snow . . . a real prima donna.

“Everyone thought he was a really nice guy (prior to filming) and all I can say is that it was a really nice day when he wrapped,” he added. (ANI)
