Audrey not interested in Hollywood success
July 11th, 2011 - 10:02 am ICT by IANSLondon, July 11 (IANS) French actress Audrey Tautou says she is not interested in mainstream Hollywood success as there are so many actresses who want to be there.
Tautou rose to fame after appearing in romantic comedy “Amelie” in 2001, but apart from appearing in 2006’s “The Da Vinci Code”, she has done few big budget movies.
However, the 34-year-old insists that she doesn’t worry about her lack of offers from US filmmakers.
“You really need to want it to be offered some roles in Hollywood. There are so many wonderful actresses who want to work there. You’re not going to ask the little one who’s like, ‘Oh no. But. Me?’ who’s not especially interested,” contactmusic.com quoted her as saying.
“Also, I don’t want to be too much exposed and that was another reason why I was happy to do ‘The Da Vinci Code’ but I would never keep doing that,”she added.
