Audrey Hepburn Outfits To Be Auctioned

hepburn1_1495025fOct 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) According to the sources, some of the selected outfits that were donned by the yesteryear’s superstar Audrey Hepburn, will be auctioned in what is billed as the biggest ever sale of the outfits that were made famous by the actress of the golden era of Hollywood film.

The actress best known for her roles in cult movies like “My Fair Lady” and “Breakfast At Tiffany’s” will have her dress auctioned, as per the reports say. According to the ongoing reports, at least 30 of the famous outfits that were donned by the actress between 1953 to the late 1960’s is all set to be auctioned. Some of the outfits that are to be auctioned includes those designed by Hepburn’s favorite designer, Hubert de Givenchy. The duo met when Hepburn was shooting for the movie “Sabrina” and thereafter they formed a long term friendship, with Givenchy designing most of the outfits that Hepburn flaunted in her subsequent films.

According to the sources, the auction will include the sale of a blue cloak silk cocktail dress that had been lifted from Givenchy’s Autumn-Winter 1966 collection. The aforementioned dress is reported to be valued at $24,000. Other than this, a black silk dress that was flaunted by the actress in the 1962 film “Paris When It Sizzles” will be placed at the auction, valued at approximately 15,000 pounds.

Other than the stunningly exquisite dresses, several hats, belts and a collection of letters where the actress describes her early career and her engagement to James Hanson in the year 1952, will be up for auction as well.

The aforementioned items will be sold by the Kerry Taylor Auctions in a span of three days in the month of December.
