Asus Eee PC 1215 N breaks new frontiers
September 23rd, 2010 - 9:50 pm ICT by Sampurn WireSeptember 23, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Asus is one of the biggest notebook manufacturers in the market and they constantly introduce new products to stay on top of the game. Asus Eee PC has always been the bench mark for netbooks (well that was before Macbook Air and ThinkPad X-series arrived) and now they are back with Eee PC 1215N. The Asus 1215 N is almost as good as a full-fledged notebook. The 12 inch notebook has a longer battery life and does everything that you would demand from mildly powered laptop.
The 1215N looks exactly like its predecessors 1201PN and 1201N but it has some welcome enhancements in it. With the new additions the laptop has become a bit heavier but it still extremely portable at 3.4 pounds. The laptop comes with a dual core 1.28GHz Intel Atom D524 processor and it is preloaded with Windows 7 Home premium (32bit). The notebook comes in both 2 GB and 4 GB RAM options. The storage space of the 1215N is decent at 250 GB SATA hard disk (5400RPM).
The notebook has a bright screen with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels that is good enough for watching movies. The Notebook also has discreet Nvidia Ion 2 Graphics that comes with Nvidia’s Switchable ‘Optimus’ technology. Therefore this notebook can conserve power better than its competitors. It provides a respectable performance while running HD movies. If you want an ultra portable notebook with good performance and reliability, Asus 1215 N is the way to go.
