London, Oct 25 (ANI): British comedian Russell Brand will not be questioned by the Indian police over an alleged altercation between his security guards and photographers after all charges were dropped.
Brand, who married pop singer Katy Perry in India on Saturday, was on a pre-wedding safari trip in the country when his entourage clashed with the members of the paparazzi who were hoping to sneak a picture of the star, Daily Express reports.
The Ranthambhore police initially announced that they would question Brand about the incident.
“The photographers have filed an official complaint of assault and all witnesses, including Mr. Brand, will be questioned about this,” said the statement released by the police.
However, the security staff attended a local police station and apologized to the photographers, following which the assault charges were dropped. (ANI)
