May 14, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Catfights in Bollywood are an everyday story; you have actresses fighting over clothes, roles, make up artists, attention of men, etc. But it’s not everyday that you find actresses competing over endorsements.

The two pretty actresses in question are none other than cutie Genelia D’souza and the sexy Asin. Both of them are currently enjoying hit innings in Bollywood. While Genelia acted in the successful coming-of-age romantic comedy “Jaane tu…ya Jaane Na’ Asin is definitely not lagging behind debuting in every wannabe actresses dream wagon, opposite Aamir Khan in “Ghajini’, she also sizzled on screen with bad boy of Bollywood with a heart of gold Salman Khan. So one may think that the actresses are neck to neck…well not really!

Genelia is a bit in the lead when it comes to endorsements. She is the face of many brands like Garnier, Fanta, and Perk to name few. It seems that Asin, who endorses brands like Mirinda, Big Bazaar, etc. is leaving no stone unturned. A reliable source told Sampurn Wire that Asin has deducted her offering price by 15-20 % so that she can take away one of Genelia’s brand endorsement!! Genelia has been Asin’s rival since they both made an entry into Bollywood the same way, i.e. via South Indian regional cinema, and Genelia being in the list of top celebrity endorsers came as a blow to Asin, who did not make the list this year.

Is this the beginning of a lifelong rivalry or will the ladies give peace another chance? Only time will tell.
