July 26, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Politician Asif Bhamla’s birthday bash yesterday at C’est la via lounge in Bandra witnessed a deluge of celebrities from all walks of life.

The day also happened to be the 12th anniversary of his N.G.O “We Love India” that supports Education for poor, the cause of Spastics, Autism, and Deaf and Dumb. The event started with distributing prizes to top 5 spastic children who fared well last year.

The prize ceremony was followed by launch of a book on Spastics and Autism named “Journey to Improvement – A Road map for Special Children” authored by Mrs. Kavita Shanbhag.

Lot of people from Film, Media, Business, Political and Social fields attended the event.

Present at the event were politicians Rajeev Shukla (hon`ble minister), Jayant Rao Patil (hon`ble minister), Sanjay Nirupam (hon`ble MP), Kripa Shanker Singh, Anil Deshmukh (hon`ble minister), Sachin Ahir (hon`ble minister), Baba Siddiqui who came in to support the cause.

A lot of stars from film fraternity dropped in to wish him. Rahul Roy was the first one to walk in. Vivek Oberoi was seen interacting with the kids and having fun. Bindu Dara Singh, Apoorva Lakhia and Shekhar Suman were amongst the others to attend the event. Parmeet Sethi walked in with his wife Archana Puran Singh, while Mink was accompanied by her brother Punnu.

Producer Manish Goswami and Manoj Bidwai with wife Ravee Gupta also came in to support the event.
