Ashley Judd may join the cast of ‘Missing’

Los Angeles, Feb 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Ashley Judd is reportedly coming back on the small screen.

The actress is reportedly close to a deal that would see her play the lead role in the ABC series ‘Missing’. It would be the first full-time series that Ashley has played in. She briefly played parts in “Sisters” and “Star Trek: The Next Generation”. ‘Missing’ marks her return on the smaller screens after her absence. The series was formerly titled “Safe and Hall of Mirrors.”

If the deal is completed, Ashley would be playing the role of a former CIA operative who decides to look for her son who goes missing aboard an internship to Italy. The executive producer of the show is Greg Poirier of “National Treasure: Book of Secrets” fame. Poirier is also the creator of the piece.

The show’s premiere along with some episodes would be directed by award-winning director, Steve Shill. Shill is the director of the hit series ‘Dexter’.

The series was originally scheduled to be premiered this summer in the United States. However due to some reasons, it has been moved to the fall.

The 42-year-old received an Emmy nomination for her role in the movie “Norma Jean and Marilyn.”
