Artistes’ remuneration defended by Mohanlal
December 31st, 2009 - 1:31 pm ICT by Sampurn Wire ( Leave a comment )Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal today expressed his concern regarding the justification of artistes’ exclusive right to decide their remuneration in the film industry and that it was not the main reason for mounting cost of film production in Kerala.
In a meet-the-press program organized by the Press Club, Mohanlal communicated that there were many other factors involved in increasing the cost of film production.
National Award winning actor, Mohanlal clarified that actors should have exclusive rights to decide their fees. He also did not support the proposed suggestion that the cost of Malayalam film production should not cross Rs 3.50 crore mark. He had previously invited Amitabh Bachchan to co-star with him after Bachchan expressed interest in working with him.
