Nov 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Reports are around that Lindsay Lohan’s father, Michael Lohan has been subjected to a warrant, for his failure to pay for child support. Michael Lohan reportedly has a child in Montana, who stays with the mother of the child. The warrant was issued by a Suffolk County, NY judge on Thursday.

Kristi Kaufmann, the mother alleged that Michael Lohan has fathered her child. She even sued him in 2008 and won an uncontested judgment as he never opposed the claim of the child. Recently, she again decided to file for the same reason. Michael Lohan said that he has made a one time support payment to Kristi Kaufmann, which proves that he has approved that the child belongs to him. He also added that he was just a day late to make the second payment for his child. Michael Lohan reportedly also went for a paternity test, the result of which was never revealed. However, he still went ahead and paid for the child support. He said that he was not aware about the warrant which was released on Thursday, and believes that it only came in because he was just a day late to make the payment. Michael Lohan is, however, sure that when he makes the second payment to Kristi Kaufmann, the warrant will be withdrawn.

This year has been really bad for Michael Lohan and he seems to be making more news than his estranged daughter Lindsay Lohan. In July, he came to news for kicking his ex-fiancee, Kate Major, right on her face. Almost immediately after he denied the accusation he got involved in his daughter’s act of violating the terms of her probation, that resulted in a 90 day sentence.
