Arrest warrant against Lindsay Lohan

May 21, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): An arrest warrant has been issued against actress Lindsay Lohan who was supposed to personally attend a court hearing. She was scheduled for a compulsory court appearance in Los Angeles County Superior Court for a judge to review the status of her probation from a 2007 conviction for driving under the influence.
Lohan is currently in France attending the Cannes Film Festival and has been photographed at various occasions when she was present for red-carpet premieres and yacht parties.
An understandably irritated, Judge Marsha N. Revel issued an arrest warrant for the 23-year-old actress. She said that actions speak louder than words and added that Lohan has a history of not keeping scheduled appointments.
In the defense of Lohan, her attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, told the judge that she was stuck in France because her passport has been stolen and now that she has a temporary passport she is expected to return on Friday. She is now scheduled to appear in court Monday.
After the hearing, it was being speculated that Lohan will be arrested as soon as she arrived in Los Angeles or that her attorney would immediately have her surrender to a law enforcement agency. But officials announced on Thursday afternoon that her attorney had posted 10% of her $100,000 bail and that the arrest warrant had been recalled.
