Actress Arpita is not one such artist, who likes to experiment with arts only to fad for the sake of being fashionable. She is a passionate artist, who has a knack in the arts. She is well-versed in classical music and Arpita will surprise many with her latest dance performance to the classical and fusion tunes of sitarist Purbayan Chatterjee.
Arpita is a trained classical singer and even performed during the birthday celebrations of Pt Arun Bhaduri. She was appreciated for her performance by the stalwarts of classical music fraternity.
Speaking about his association with Arpita, Purbayan said that he and Arpita first met at the award ceremony of ‘Sharod Sreshtho’, which was organized by Times of India. He went to judge the event. The sitarist added that he came to know about her musical inclination during this event, where she hummed some tunes. Since then, they continued meeting socially and soon they started discussing about a joint project. Purbayan said that Arpita informed him about her Bharatnatyam background and that she took training from Thankamani Kutty.
Informing about her project, Arpita added that she was planning to do two projects titled ‘Trialogue’ and ‘Tagore Lounge’ with Purbayan. Speaking about her recent project with the sitarist, Arpita said that she will be dancing to Sudarshan’s choreography. She said that unlike other performances by other actors, her will be more elaborate as it will be orchestrated differently.
We wish her words come true and the art lovers really enjoy their joint collaboration.
