Arnold Schwarzenegger Los Angeles, April 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Deadline has reported that Arnold Schwarzenegger is going to appear in the next ‘Terminator’ movie. The report claims that the movie will be directed by “Fast and Furious” director Justin Lin.

The action hero stepped out of Hollywood for seven years serving as the governor of California. After stepping down from office after serving two terms, Schwarzenegger revealed that he is getting back to Hollywood. There have been several projects that have been linked to the 63-year-old since then.

According to Deadline, there is a battle between the major studios to get the right to the new Terminator movie. The report named Sony, Lionsgate, Universal and CBS Films as those fighting to get the right to the movie. If the movie is made, it will be the fifth since the first Terminator movie came out in 1984.

The first movie was directed by iconic director James Cameron and its success led to subsequent releases of the other Terminators. Hedge fund company, Pacificor, currently holds the rights to the Terminator franchise. The right was acquired from another hedge fund company Halcyon shortly after the company went bankrupt. Rights will ultimately return to Cameron after 2018, Deadline reports.
