has yet another taken up a challenging subject for his next project. This gold medallist from the film institute has taken up basketball as the theme of his next film.
The director is all set to make yet another film in a genre, which is hardly explored by any Tamil filmmaker. He has taken up yet another gripping story and convinced Ravichandran to produce the movie. In India, not many producers agree to take up any sports based movie.
Speaking about this, Arivazhagan said that at a time when many producers shy away from a sports based movie, producer Ravichandran has showed faith in him and agreed to produce it. The director said that he is extremely thankful to the producer for putting trust on him and promised to not let him down.
On choosing sports as his subject, Arivazhagan said that Kollywood has only handful number of sports based film and he wants to change this opinion. He added that besides romance, sport is yet another powerful subject that attracts the youths because of its energy level. The director further said that no Tamil film has been made on basketball, so he is hoping to please the audience with his movie. He has signed Nakul as the lead hero of the movie, which has an action-oriented script. It will be set in a college. On choosing Nakul, the director said that it is because of his enthusiasm and energy level, he chose the actor.
In fact, Arivazhagan has started practising basketball with Nakul to understand the difficulties faced by the coaches and the players. It seems that the director is trying to give an authentic feel to the film.
