Are Prince William & Kate Middleton too boring for NBC?
April 19th, 2011 - 8:39 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattNew York, April 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The New York Post reported that NBC decided to cut back on the coverage of the Royal Wedding because they did not find the personalities of Prince William and Kate Middleton interesting enough.
According to the New York Post, NBC realized that the soon-to-be royal couple were “too boring.” Page Six reported that an insider has confirmed the earlier report of New York Post. The source said NBC was gauging the US public interest and subsequently didn’t want to spend more coverage on the lead up to the Royal Wedding. The report said NBC’s crew would be going to London later than initially planned to cover the Royal Wedding.
A rep of NBC, Meghan Pianta, has come out to deny those reports. In an email to The Daily Caller, the rep explained that before New York Post in particular came out with its report, they didn’t consult NBC. Meghan subsequently called the report “completely unfounded and false.”
The Royal Wedding would take place on the 29th of April. The wedding would take place at the Westminster Abbey and millions of viewers from all over the world are expected to watch the ceremony live on TV.
