April 29 episode of American Idol was a shocker

April 30th, 2009 - 6:47 pm ICT by GD Tell a Friend -

The April 29 American Idol elimination night, kick-started with the hosts getting straight away to take a look at the bottom three contenders. Surprisingly enough Adam Lambert Matt Giraud and Kris Allen ended up there while the ones to remain safe were Danny Gokey and Allison Iraheta remained safe being the top two vote getters this week.

This was followed by performances by Natalie Cole, Taylor Hicks, and Jamie Foxx who performed his # 1 hit song, which has become a personal favourite of many of his fans, favorite at the moment, “Blame It”(On The Alcohol). The audience erupted in applause.

Adding to the surprise and shock of Adam Lambert being in the bottom two was Ryan’s sudden revelation that Kris Allen was safe.

With this revelation it was almost sure that Matt that was going to be eliminated because in no way could Adam go home so soon. That would be just too crazy.

Many people had thought that Kris Allen would be eliminated since in the last performance Matt Giraud had a slight edge over him. But the fans’ vote is often a surprise and so it seemed Matt will go home and that would be a disappointment, because he was so good and especially with his Justin Timberlake kind of voice.

He surely had deserved one more week. That Adam was in the bottom two was a huge shocker. Finally, Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey,Allison Iraheta, and Kris Allen form the final four of the 8th season of “American Idol”.
