christina2 Sep 14 (THAINDIAN NEWS) According to a report at starpulse.com, Christina Appelgate is hinting at a sequel to the much-loved 2004 comedy ‘Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy’, and she says that the entire cast is eager for filming to begin on the project.

But the bosses at Paramount have so far denied the request, stating that they are not willing to put up the money that it would cost to do the sequel. Will Ferrel recently asked fans to write to the movie execs and beg for them to consider the movie.

The plans for the sequel to Will Ferrel’s hilarious depiction of a news anchor were shelved in April, and Applegate expressed her disappointment. But after an outcry from fans, the president of the company is once again considering the idea.

Adam McKay, director, shared with Collider.com, “It made a difference. Paramount heard it. Adam Goodman, the president of Paramount, was on the first one so he loves it and when that outcry came, he was kind of excited because he knew it could maybe push it towards happening. That having been said, I’m clearly going into it like another movie so if it does happen it’s still two years away or a ways away. And I haven’t talked to anyone. There’s nothing happening right now but it helped, it helped.”
