Cupertino, Sep 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The centerpiece of the Apple music event that was held at San Francisco yesterday was a truly enchanting occasion for all the Apple fanatics. True to the name of the event, Apple released the revamped version of iPod media players along with iTunes 10. However, there was another gadget unveiled by the technology behemoth that hogged as much attention as the iPods. The CEO of Apple Steve Jobs unveiled the new and updated Apple TV aimed at the movie buffs. The tiny black box is available for approximately $119. It is much smaller than the first generation Apple TV. The big boon is the addition of a HDMI cable. Hence the users can attach it to the big LCD screens and watch the contents in Full HD format.
The new Apple TV is smarter than the predecessor. It starts streaming content rather fast and there is no need to wait for the content to be downloaded. The inclusion of Wi Fi connectivity is also its plus point. Now onwards the users can get content without using cables and wires from their Macs and PCs and that includes the music, photos and downloaded videos. The Ethernet jack is ideal for those who like the old fashion wired networking method.
The cost of the TV service will vary depending on the location. The TV content provided by major networks like BBC America, Disney Channel, Fox and ABC will be made available for the views initially. Apart from regular TV shows, Apple TV can also stream media contest from Netflix and YouTube. This looks like an interesting product and a much better one that its predecessor.
