March 27, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Discovery Travel and Living’s host Anthony Bourdain and his team had quite the experience on Wednesday. When they found out about Mammootty being one of the biggest names in the South Indian film industry, they tried to fix a meeting with him on the sets of his movie, Pokkiri Raja.
Mammootty was honoured and was very warm and hospitable with his guests. He also shared some of the home-made dishes like “puttu’ and “meen curry’ which he had with him.
He answered all the questions that the team asked him about Kerala with patience. Antony was interested more in the food habits of the shooting crew and the stunt artists. Antony’s crew recorded the activities that were on at the sets of Mammootty’s show. The team left for their routine after being wowed by Mammootty and director Vysakh’s humility.
