Anthony Hopkins wants to return home to WalesJanuary 7th, 2008 - 5:21 pm ICT by admin
Washington, Jan 7 (ANI): Welsh actor Sir Anthony Hopkins is eager to return back to his native Wales.
After living in California, USA for almost 20 years, he is now planning on moving back to his native homeland.
Hopkins, who was the star of the movie Silence of the Lambs, hails from the small town of Port Talbot in the U.K. He became a naturalised American citizen in 2000 after residing and working there for a number of years.
The desire to return home is said to have come about after he celebrated his 70th birthday in his home country with old friends and family on New Year’s Eve (31Dec07).
The lavish birthday party, which was held in West Glamorgan’s Margam Castle, left Hopkins teary eyed.
“Anthony was moved to tears by the whole thing, not least by the Welsh male voice choir, which had all of us going, Contactmusic quoted a guest at the party as saying.
“He told us that while he liked waking up to sunshine most days at his place in Malibu, he missed Wales more as he got older, and he plans to start looking for a house here,” the guest added. (ANI)
