Anthony Hopkins in talks to play Alfred Hitchcock
January 25th, 2011 - 4:55 pm ICT by ANILondon, Jan 25 (ANI): Sir Anthony Hopkins is in talks to play legendary filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock in a new biopic about the director.
The Oscar-winning actor has reportedly been approached to play the Master of Suspense in a movie based on Stephen Rebello’s book Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho, reports the Daily Express.
The book tells the story of the director’s struggle to finance his 1960 horror classic.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, screenwriter/director Sacha Gervasi is in talks to step behind the camera to direct the story, while Black Swan writer John McLaughlin has taken charge of the script. (ANI)
