ree Fresno, Mar 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Ansel Adam’s son has sued the Fresno Metropolitan Museum with the intention of stopping them from selling 6 prints by his father. The Fresno Metropolitan Museum is in dire straits due to financial troubles, and because of this reason it also closed down in January 2010. In order to pay off some of the museum’s creditors, the museum officials came up with a plan to sell 6 prints, by the legendary photographer Ansel Adams. They were also in the process of selecting the auction houses before they were barred from doing so, by the lawsuit.

Ansel Adam’s son – Michael filed the lawsuit on Monday in the Fresno County Superior Court to bar the museum from selling the prints, which include the legendary ‘Moon and Half Dome’ and ‘Clearing Storm’. He says that he filed the lawsuit because the sale would violate a donation agreement made years ago. His lawyer – Melody Hawkins provided no information and details about the lawsuit.

The museum’s bankruptcy attorney says that they are trying to work out a solution of this problem, for their mutual benefit.
