Another First For 3 Idiots

June 9, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): That 3 Idiots is a blockbuster and a record breaking film is a known fact. It has won accolades and bagged several awards as well. Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra adds another feather to his cap as he has launches a book of the hit film. This is a rare occurrence for a mainstream Bollywood film.
There have been several instances wherein films have been based on popular novels or books. All of Chetan Bhagat’s books have been adapted into movies. Others like Parineeta, again produced by Chopra and regional movies like Chokher Bali have been screen adaptations of books too.
The book’s launch adds to the hype surrounding the movie. Chopra, as always, does things with a difference. Sampurn Media found out that it will have the film’s screenplay, pictures and dialogues. This trend, which been seen in the West, now it comes to India.
We hope to see many more Bollywood filmmakers catch on to the trend as it will be a rare treat for us, movie buffs.
