Apr 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Wednesday night’s episode of the Fox musical reality series “American Idol” turned out to be huge delightful watch for more reasons than one. The latest episode of the singing competition showcased a special segment titled ‘Idol Gives Back’ which witnessed some of the most prominent names in the musical industry rocking the stage to raise money for children’s charities. However, it seems that Scottish singer Annie Lennox was one of the celebrities who was successful in attracting the maximum amount of attention owing to her T-shirt that read ‘HIV-Positive’.

The veteran singer made an appearance in the show via satellite and also gave a brief performance to the utter delight of her large number of fans. Although the singer was scheduled to make a live performance in the show, she failed to do so in the wake of the airtime crisis due to the Icelandic volcano. However, not making a live performance did not seem to have posed a problem as Annie Lennox caught the interest of all the viewers of the show with her T-shirt.

Despite the fact that the singer has been spotted wearing the T-shirt in numerous other occasions, her ‘HIV Positive’ T-shirt on the “American Idol” platform left all her fans rather concerned. To their utter relief, the musical artist later revealed that she only intended to raise awareness about the prevention and treatment about the deadly HIV virus. Given the extensive amount of interest that her ‘HIV Positive’ T-shirt has managed to generate, it seems Annie Lennox has been more than successful in spreading across the message.
