June 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Anne Hathaway will soon find her on-screen “prince charming” in the film adaptation of David Nicholls’ famed novel “One Day”, where she being a working class woman will love a charming rich man, played by Jim Sturgess.

The project is set to start this July, as Focus Features and Random House Films announced. Lone Scherfig, who is an Oscar nominee for “An Education” will direct this movie. No sooner had “One Day” hit the stores of England this Tuesday, than the producers announced of the film adaptation.

The much anticipated fairy tale romance film will have the story of Emma, a middle class working woman who falls in love with Dexter, a rich and suave man. The pair first meets in 1988 and then continues to meet once a day for next 20 years. British heartthrob Jim Sturgess who is known for “The Other Boleyn Girl”, “Across The Universe” and “21,” will play the role of Dexter.

The filming of the movie will begin on July 12, and David Nicholls has written its script. The release of this movie is scheduled for 2011. In an interview Focus Features chief executive James Schamus said that Focus Feature has always enjoyed the success of love stories and this film will make the audience laugh and cry with Emma and Dexter. The name of the film till now chosen as “Same Time, Next Year”, it might change in future given the demand of the script.

Anne Hathaway has had many Cinderella love stories in her film career. Some of her movies in which she earned her recognition and respect as an actor are “Ella Enchanted”, “The Devil Wears Prada”, “The Princess Diaries” etc.

The new Cinderella movie of Anne Hathway has generated curiosity in her fans.
