The announcement definitely comes as a shock, considering that such candid confessions often come down pretty hard on the citizens. The announcement comes even more as a shock as nobody had possibly thought of Anna Paquin as even a homosexual, leave alone bisexual, in the wildest imaginations, particularly as it is a widely known fact that she is engaged to her co-star and long time boyfriend, Stephen Moyer.

The announcement was made by Anna Paquin in the duration of a gay rights campaign, called “Give A Damn,” which she took part in. In the video campaign, Anna Paquin is seen confessing that although she is engaged to a man, she is also drawn to women. The campaign was undertaken as an effort to raise funds for the True Colors Fund, organized by the singer Cindi Lauper.

Needless to say, the comment turned out to be one of the most highly viewed ones on the internet in recent times. After coming out about her sexual orientation, she also gave an idea about the statistics of the hate crimes committed in the city, saying that it happens almost in every hour. The announcement became so very searched on the net, that the official website of the organization crashed due to the excessive traffic. The representatives of the actress were not available for comment.
