anna Washington DC, Mar 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A federal appeals court has directed that the estate of the late Anna Nicole Smith will lose out on the $300 million oil fortune, which had been promised to her, by her late husband, who was an oil tycoon. So the beneficiaries of the estate of the late Anna Nicole Smith can bid adieu to all dreams of laying their hands on $300 million.

The former Playboy model Anna Nicole Smith had married J. Howard Marshall in 1994. He was a billionaire, and had minted his billions in the oil industry. After he died in 1995, then Anna alleged that he had promised her a sum of $300 million from his oil fortune. At the time of Howard’s death, his estate was worth a staggering $1.6 billion. She approached the court in this regard, but the court ruled in favor of Marshall’s son – E. Pierce Marshall. Later she filed an appeal too, and now that appeal has been quashed. The federal appeals court said that they ought to honor the court verdict of 2001, which had ruled in favor of Howard’s son.

Anna Nicole Smith had died in a hotel room in February 2007, after an accidental overdose of drugs.
