Los Angeles, June 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The estate of the late reality star Anna Nicole Smith has lost a legal battle that they were waging to have a portion of J. Howard Marshall’s fortune.

It may be recalled that the late model had gotten married to billionaire J. Howard Marshall, who was more than six decades older than her. Their wedding took place in 1994 and then Howard died in 1995. At his death, when the will was read out then it came as a shock to Anna that she wasn’t a beneficiary there. She claimed that her late husband had promised her $300 million in the event of his death.

And after that, a long winded legal war began between Anna Nicole Smith and Howard’s son – E. Pierce Marshall. Anna got a major shot in the arm when in 2000, she was awarded $475 million. However her victory was short-lived, because just 12 months later, another judge reduced that amount drastically to just $89 million.

Anna Nicole Smith’s son Daniel died in 2006 and then in 2007, Anna also died after an accidental drug overdose. Anna also had a daughter Dannielynn, who survives her.
