London, May 2 (ANI): Hollywood actress Anna Friel is bringing her daughter Gracie back to Britain, as she’s determined to make her get rid of her American accent she picked up Stateside.

Friel has been living in America for two years and her 3-year-old daughter with David Thewlis has picked up a strong American accent.

Thus, Friel is determined to bring her daughter close to her roots, and is taking Gracie home to Britain to surround her with her mother tongue.

“Gracie has a little American accent now, it’s just started to creep in. You know how we say handbag? They (Americans) say purse. She went, ‘Mummy, do you know where your purse is?’ I said, ‘My WHAT?!’ ‘Purse” The Daily Express quoted Friel, as saying.

“I’m bringing her back to England so she’ll become very British again very soon. We’ve got a northern nanny so we get her to go (in a British accent), ‘under’, ‘bath’, ‘grass’” Friel added. (ANI)
