Anjan Dutta Shoots Byomkesh Bakshi Film In Black And White

August 4, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Renowned Bengali film actor and director Anjan Dutta is soon going to release his film Adim Ripu, which is first of his three Byomkesh Bakshi films.
Byomkesh Bakshi is a fictional detective character, created by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay, a renowned author in Bengali literature. Earlier, television shows has been made based on the stories of the detective.
The film by Anjan Dutta has been released online, which stars Abir Chatterjee, Saswata Chatterjee, and Swastika Mukherjee. The next film in this trilogy will be Chitrochor.
Anjan Dutta has shot the film in black and white to give it an authentic feel of the time on which the story is set. The story is based on the backdrop of pre-Independence period and post-World War II.
The detective Byomkesh Bakshi is played by actor Abir Chatterjee and Saswata Chatterjee essays the role of Ajit. Shiuli, the bar dancer, is played by renowned Bengali actress Swastika Mukherjee and Chandan Sen plays the role of arms dealer Batul.
Neel Dutta has composed the music for the film.
