London, May 26 (ANI): Jennifer Aniston’s iconic Rachel haircut from the sitcom Friends, known as “shag” in hairdressing circles, is the most requested hairstyle of all time.

Almost 11million British women try out the bouncy, layered look which was created by stylist Chris McMillan and first worn by Aniston when she played character Rachel Green in 1994, reports The Daily Express.

Meg Ryan’s choppy, cropped bob from the 2003 film Sleepless In Seattle, is the second most popular style.

Next is Dannii Minogue’s sleek brunette bob.

Rose-Marie Jarvis, of hair company Goody which commissioned the study of 3,000 women, said: “It’s no secret that many women take inspiration from celebrities when it comes to their appearance. For women, hair is our most creative fashion accessory.”

According to the poll, Victoria Beckham’s “pob” cut - short for Posh bob - and Princess Diana’s short, classic cut were popular with women of all ages. (ANI)
