Singapore Cybersports & Online Gaming Association (SCOGA) and machines sponsor, TKA World organize Anime Festival Asia 2008 for the first time in Southeast Asia and Singapore is chosen celebrate the diversity of Japanese Pop Culture.
The event is going to be filled by many experts such as Ichirou Mizuki, Japan’s “King of Anime Songs”, Pop star May’n, storyboard artist for LaMB, Soejima Yasufum, Studio 4 Degree’s director, Morimoto Koji and Esteemed mechanical-designer of Gundam, Okawara Kunio.
AFA 2008 is considered to be a good start for the official opening of Singapore’s Japanese Creative Center or JCC which is going to take place sometime in 2009. It is set to be the platform for “showcasing Japanese-related content and culture in Singapore”.
The showcase spanning over 5,000 sqm of space with 6 experience zones: Akiba Town, Anime Live, Anime Blockbusters, Industry, Mangaka and Planet Mech, where visitors will gain access to exclusive content, merchandise and live acts straight from Japan.
For those games competitors can pick one of the upcoming arcade gaming titles: King of Fighters ‘98: Ultimate Match , Street Fighter IV and Tekken 6.
The festival is held in The Arena Zone, the seventh and newest Experience Zone of the AFA08 at Suntec International Convention and Exhibition Center. From Nov 22 - 23 Nov
