July 23, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Angelina Jolie walked into Comic Con’s H Hall on Thursday whilst the 7,000 crowd roared and cheered. The pretty actress was covered in black from head to toe and wore a snug fit leather jacket. This was the first time since she returned to San Diego post ‘Tomb Raid’.

Seen without her celebrity partner, Brad Pitt, Jolie was all smiles as she proceeded to talk about her experiences in the spy thriller ‘Salt’. This Philip Noyce film had resulted in her getting battered and bruised all over because she had preferred to do her own stunts.

The action movie is based on reality which required her to do hand to hand combat, handle various kinds of weapons and jump clear across a highway onto trucks. She closely missed being injured severely while doing all the action herself.

Angelina Jolie explained that she had some problems with her hearing after taking an unexpectedly brutal fall. She was scared that she had suffered a concussion. Thankfully her fears were unjustified as she had completely forgotten that she had been wearing ear plugs in order to protect her ears from the excessive noise during rapid gun firings.

Although she has featured in such roles before, she was overjoyed to be playing a dark and complex character which was more in tune with the roles that she had played in films like the ‘Tomb Raider’ and ‘Wanted’

She said that her style of acting was much harder and meaner than ever before. However, she cherishes the experience and thinks that ‘Salt’ is certainly one of the better action films that she has done so far.
