August 26, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Director Vasantha Balan’s Angaadi Theru won incredible laurels for bringing the realistic portrayals of problems faced by salespersons in showrooms. The film had a wonderful reception across all the centres and in overseas as well.

The film is now dubbed in Telugu as “Shopping Mall’ and the rights have been acquired by Kodenthara Suresh of SK Pictures. Filmmaker Veenilakandi’s son Shashank has written dialogues in Telugu. The producers are planning to release the film by second week of September.

Angaadi Theru features newcomer Mahesh and Kattradhu Tamizh fame Anjali in lead roles. The film centers on the everyday problems faced by the salespersons employed in textile showrooms and other shops. It exposed some of the shocking realities of how women staffs are molested by managers and boys are whipped if not found working properly. The film revolves around various characters like a lame person and his wife, a beggar finding new lease of life at a public toilet and more. In simple terms, director Vasantha Balan conveys a strong message that Hope is a good thing and it can help everyone win their life.

Since actress Anjali has an excellent command over her mother tongue Telugu, she has dubbed with her voice.
