Andrew Lloyd Webber Wants To Buy Abbey Road?

andrewLondon, Feb 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Music company EMI has recently announced that it is going to sell the Abbey Road studios of London. They are apparently selling it in order to raise money as the company needs to clear some debts. Going by the rich heritage of the place, it is hardly surprising that a number of people developed interest in the place. A spokesperson of the music composer Andrew Lloyd Webber has allegedly revealed to a source that Andrew Lloyd Webber is interested in buying the studios.

Abbey Road studios have lots of musical associations and hence is one of the iconic buildings in London. The Beatles recorded a number of albums in those studios. Their album “Abbey Road,” which came out in the year 1969 has immortalized the place. According to sources, Andrew Lloyd Webber who first recorded in Abbey Road studios in 1967 wants to preserve its heritage by buying it himself. Most of the musicals by Andrew Lloyd Webber were recorded in Abbey Road studios.

A source reveals that a spokesperson of Andrew Lloyd Webber supposedly said, “He thinks it is vital that the studios are saved,” in order to preserve the “future of music industry.” The spokesperson of Andrew Lloyd Webber reportedly said he wants to buy the studio as it is very close to his heart.

Abbey Road studios are apparently peerless for its huge size. It has 3 recording studios which are big and can easily accommodate a huge production team. According to sources, EMI has refused an offer of more than 30 million pound recently.
