Andrea True dies
November 25th, 2011 - 7:38 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattNew York, Nov 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Gilpatric-VanVliet funeral home in Kingston has announced that former adult movie star Andrea True has passed away at the age of 68 years. The funeral home failed to give the details on the cause of her death but said she died on the 7th of November at a hospital in Kingston, New York.
Andrea was born Andrea Marie Truden but decided to use the alias True when she entered the porn world in the late 1960s. She announced at the time that the move was meant to protect the family dignity.
In a 1976 interview with the Times, Andrea revealed that entering the porn world was a frustration move after so many music producers turned her down. She was quoted in the magazine as saying that, “I had been turned down by an agent for a record deal and I was tired of working as an extra in pictures. Some of my friends asked me to join them in a porno film. I figured I could learn about films and acting that way, so I did it.”
She eventually made about 40 porn movies before leaving the genre for the music industry where she released disco tracks like “More, More, More.”
After releasing two albums, Andrea seemed to have dried up but insisted that there is no way she is going back to the porn world.
