And Bombay shall remain Bombay

In the midst of all the controversy surrounding “Bombay” and “Mumbai”, director Anurag Kashyap has said that he will not change the title of his next film from Bombay Velvet to Mumbai Velvet.
He says this is because the film is set in a time when Mumbai was still Bombay. So if Raj Thackeray still has a problem with it and if MNS creates tension, they will take legal action against them.
Bombay Velvet is one of Kashyap’s three films on Mumbai. It will start around the middle of next year and will be produced by TV18.

If it is set in a time when it was “still” bombay then why do films set in “this period” hesitate to use Mumbai?

I am glad that one of many non marathi Deshpremi is making a non-hindi film from birish slave period of india.
It is in times of post independence that use of indian national language i.e. hindi started in Mumbai; oops sorry, in Bombay. Anyways who will go to stop kashyap’s films? Doorkeepers would do it after first day first show.
