An update on Sonu Sood
November 14th, 2008 - 4:51 pm ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiSonu Sood has been considered to be a perfect prem for the movie ‘Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi’. It is known in Rajshri that after very long (especially after Maine Pyar Kiya) and a lot of searching they have got the exact Prem they wanted.
Sooraj Barjatya - “Sonu has been our most unconventional Prem till date. He has added his own inputs into the role, keeping the same honesty that the personality has always had. Sonu’s sincerity to his performance has been infectious.”
Kaushik Ghatak (Director) - “When we (Rajshri and me) crafted the character of Prem in ‘Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi’, it was a challenge to cast the new Prem, beacuse earlier great actors have given the character a new dimension. Moreover this Prem is very different from all the earlier Prems. While searching for an option we saw few scenes of Sonu and began considering him for this role. I remember the night before we actually began casting, that whole night we saw is previous works and found him to be an excellent actor. We contacted him and after few days when we narrated the story to him and the way he reacted to the narration, we understood he was already in the role. Then again while shooting, we realised we couldn’t have got a better Prem. He is not only a good actor but also a great human…..I would love to work with him again.”
