These archaeologists have voiced that they have unveiled what was a massive hunting arena formerly. This hunting arena happens to be 9-mile-long and was the site where bison were stampeded over a precipice no less than 1,000 years ago.
Archaeological investigators have asserted that the 9-mile-long arena consists of a fresh-looking “drive line’ arrangement. This arrangement was utilized to direct bison to their demises. The hunting arena also possesses bison fillets and the odds and ends of campgrounds with countless tepee rings.
The aforementioned site is on a far-flung plateau. This plateau overlooks the Two Medicine River. The archaeological canvassers have mentioned that this could become one of the biggest and most momentous inheritance sites associated with Blackfeet in the area.
Hundreds of years ago, the Indians i.e. the Native Americans of the Plains had gathered bison by stampeding them over the precipices. John Murray happens to be the historical conservation bureaucrat of the Blackfeet Tribe. Murray has divulged that present investigation at the fresh site will enable the local tribal constituents i.e. the Native Americans to comprehend their history in a more efficient way.
