Amy Winehouse shells out PS32k to fly friends to Caribbean
January 6th, 2009 - 4:17 pm ICT by ANILondon, January 6 (ANI): Amy Winehouse reportedly shelled out 32,000 pounds to fly friends to soak up the sun with her in the Caribbean.
The Rehab singer was said to have spent the staggering amount to have five more friends from North London join her in St Lucia.
The pop star, who vowed to make a fresh start for 2009 and give up her unhealthy habits including drug and alcohol addiction, reportedly dug into her savings to bear the first class all-expenses-paid trip.
“She had already treated her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield and friend Blake Wood to a freebie holiday but wanted more of her mates there to join in. She felt like Father Christmas. the Mirror quoted a friend as saying.
The friend added: “If she carries on like this she will have nothing left in her Coutts account to live on.” (ANI)
