London, June 26 (ANI): Amy Winehouse has finally made an attempt to clean up her act by wearing nicotine patches.

The Rehab singer, who was recently diagnosed with traces of the lung disease emphysema, was warned that if she doesnt quit the habit, her lung condition could hinder her dulcet tones - preventing her from reaching the high notes.

Winehouse has finally heeded the advice of doctors, with a little encouragement from her father, Mitch.

Amy’s been advised to give up to have any chance of cleaning her lungs, the Mirror quoted a source, as saying.

“But it’s the pleading from Mitch which has really helped.

“She’s covered herself in nicotine patches as she’s desperate to preserve her voice and is promising to clean up her act, the source added. (ANI)
