Aug 17 (IBNS) Amy Ryan, 39, is pregnant with her first child, thanks to her comedy writer fiancé, Eric Slovin. The baby is due in October.

A source closer to the expectant celebrity couple said there was no information on the sex of the infant.

“The couple is yet to know if it’s a boy or girl. But they are too happy about the pregnancy and is already making preparations to welcome the new addition to the family,” said sources close to Ryan.

Amy Ryan is most known for her role as Helene McCready in 2007 film “Gone Baby Gone”. The character earned her a breakthrough in Hollywood film industry. It won her several prestigious awards nominations, naming some were Golden Globe and Oscars.

Lately, Amy starred in NBC’s “The Office” as human resources staffer Holly, who had a romance with Steve Carell’s Michael last season. Also having some big screen flicks in the works, she can next be seen starring in “Green Zone” and “The Missing Person”.

The mom-to-be was nominated for a best supporting actress Oscar Award in 2007 for her portrayal as a troubled mom in “Gone Baby Gone.”
