New York, Oct 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) American actress Amy Ryan has given birth to a girl child on Oct 15 in New York City. A statement that was released, revealed that the actress and her fiance Evin Slovin have become the proud parents of a baby girl who has been named Georgia Gracie Slovin. The couple are engaged but are yet to be married. It was also added that the mother and the baby were both doing well. Amy who had declared that she was expecting in August this year, is said to be delighted at her new found motherhood.

Amy Ryan has established herself as a popular name in Hollywood, who is best known for her role in the 2007 movie “Gone Baby Gone” opposite Ben Affleck in which she successfully portrayed the character of Helen McCready. This also earned her an Oscar nomination for the Best Supporting Actress. She has also done incredible work in movies such as “Uncle Vanya”, “A Street car Named Desire” for both of which she received a Tony nomination, among others.

The actress has most recently appeared in NBC’s “The Office” where she played the role of a competent and diplomatic human resource representative of Dunder Muffin. Her true to life portrayal of the character earned her immense popularity among her fans. Her next release titled “Green Zone” is scheduled to hit theaters on March 2010. The movie is a Iraq war based saga, where she would be starring along with Greg Kinnear and Matt Demon. Her fans would see her playing the role of a New York Times journalist who investigates the claims of weapons of mass destruction by US.
