Los Angeles, Jan 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) It is often said that there are two kinds of people. We have those who literally complain and do nothing at all and those who take whatever is thrown at them and turn them to millions.

It seems Ethiopian born Amsale Aberra is amongst the second group. When she couldn’t find a proper designer to make her wedding gown in 1985, she decided to take matters into her own hands. She successfully designed her own wedding dress and was so impressed with it that she decided to design and sell some more for other people. She formed the Amsale designs and it wasn’t long that she added other additions.

After almost 26 years down the line, her clothes are worn by celebrities and other top personalities. Amongst those that have worn her dresses are Julia Roberts, Halle Berry, Kim Bassinger and Salma Hayek.

Amsale was featured on the CNN program African Voices. During the show, she said that it was her desire to be different that got her into the business in the first place. She said that wedding dresses and gowns were practically overdone then and so she decided she wanted something very simple and elegant.

Amsale’s reality show is set to role on TV from April.
