Amrapali is now part of me: Actor Yash Sinha
August 6th, 2012 - 3:35 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, Aug 6 (IANS) TV actor Yash Sinha is set to tie the knot with his “Teen Bahuraniyaan” co-star Amrapali Gupta this November, and says she is an important part of his life.
The couple met on the sets of “Teen Bahuraniyaan” four years back and have been together since then.
“I don’t know what the future holds for us, but one thing I can say for sure is that she is a part of me now,” Yash told IANS.
Of their wedding plans, he said: “We are going to get married in November, but the date has not been finalised as of now. The ceremony will be in one of our hometowns, but we will surely host a celebration in Mumbai as well,” added Yash, who currently essays the role of Babloo in Zee TV’s “Afsar Bitiya”.
Yash says he first clicked with Amrapali due to their common passion for acting.
“She is a fine actress. We used to discuss about work, we are both very passionate about acting. We had many things to talk about other than personal things. I used to talk to her about my scenes and problems at work or get genuine feedback,” he said.
The actor disagrees that marriage becomes a roadblock for a successful career in showbiz.
“To each his own. In my case, we are both actors, we want the wedding to be at such a time when we can get a break for 10 days. After this we will both want to get back to work,” said Yash, who was also seen in shows like “Bhagyavidhaata” and “Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai”.
A seasoned TV actor, Yash has played both positive and negative roles, and says the transition between characters was never tough for him.
“I played negative character for Aruna Irani’s show ‘Doli Saja Ke’. This was when I was doing ‘Teen Bahuraniyaan’ as the lead, And people liked me in both the roles. I enjoyed it also.
“I used to prepare myself while travelling from one shoot to the other. When I used to leave the set of ‘Teen Bahuraniyaan’ and go to the set of ‘Doli Saja Ke’, I used to be completely transformed,” he added.
Yash has also had a brush with Bollywood with a small part in Prakash Jha’s “Apaharan” a few years back. He says he would love to enter films again, but will never leave TV completely.
“I had done a cameo for Prakash Jha’s movie ‘Apaharan’. He has been offering me roles in all his films after that, but I haven’t been able to take it up due to my television commitments.
“I will never leave television. I will do one show and give the rest of the time to movies,” he said.
